After several years of following and promoting OUTLAW Drag Race events “ Big Don “ [Don Ellison} Founder of RACETALK announces that he and the staff of RACETALK are creating a NEW  “Outlaw Racing Association” to be named

“US OUTLAW  MUD RACING ASSOCIATION” or [ USOMRA ]. The USOMRA is an exciting new Mud Racing association that will showcase the worlds best racers. It’s Unique “HEADS-UP Outlaw style” event operation and business model separates it from all other organizations. USOMRA will cater to the fans by providing non-stop action and to the racers by providing world class competition in a side by side heads-up format.

In addition to the side by side Mud Racing the USOMRA will also have several classes for ATV racers.

The USOMRA will hold events at a brand new facility ( Still under construction) near Canton Tx.

“Fans will have the opportunity to see world class racing in one of the fastest growing forms of motorsports MUD RACING” said Big Don.

BIG DON ANNOUNCES NEXT STEP FOR RACETALK

 

After covering motorsports in Texas, and across the Nation for the past two years both on the radio and in print., RACETALK founder “Big Don” Don Ellison officially announced today that RACETALK is in the process of building a MUD RACING facility in East Texas-

RACETALK MUDDERsports Park. Located near Canton Tx. Is scheduled to be complete by January 2011 and will feature side by side 200’ mud pits, an ATV [Bog Pit] and an ATV [MUDDER-X] track.

“Being able to build our own facility and showcase our type of (OUTLAW style Racing) is obvisously something that has been important to me” said Big Don.

RMP will be the home of the newly formed (US OUTLAW MUD RACING ASSOCIATION) and will also feature one of the states FIRST Hill and Hole tracks.

“We feel that Hill and Hole racing is the direction this sport is headed and we want to be involved from the GET GO” said Big Don.

We’re excited to be the home of the USOMRA and it’s professional Mud Racing show.

And we expect to see a full house at our first event in March of 2011.

A Day filled with announcements from RACETALK. Starting with the announcement of the USOMRA (US OUTLAW MUD RACING ASSOCIATION)

 

And then news that RACETALK was in the process of building a MUD RACING facility near CANTON Tx.

 

Then late this afternoon came the announcement that “Big Don” who has been covering outlaw motorsports in Texas and across the Nation for the last two years, For his internet radio show and RACETALK MAGAZINE will add yet another member to the RACETALK family,

 

“We are very happy to announce today that we have been given the opportunity to host our own TV show in 2011”

 

Big Don says that he will continue to broadcast motorsports events LIVE on RACETALK 39x  as well as cover as many events as possible for the pages of RACETALK MAGAZINE.

 

“The radio show is what really got all this started, and the Magazine was just the next step for us. I have been really fortunate to have the support of my family, and my partner Tracey Bartlett  since we started this whole thing. All along I have always wanted to do a TV show but never really thought is would happen.

I can’t thank Tracey enough for believing in me and my dreams and supporting me in this whole process.”

 

The new TV show will be shot on location at RMP (RACETALK MUDDERsports Park) and will feature Mud racers competing side by side on a 200’ track in a Drag Racing style format. In addition to the heads up racing The show will also feature Hill and Hole racing.

 

“Hill and Hole racing is the most exciting form of Mud Racing I have ever seen” says Big Don

“We really feel that Hill and Hole racing is the direction that this sport is headed in the future and we want to be involved from the get go. With that being said I don't think that traditional “PIT” racing is going away just that we will start seeing a lot more Hill and Hole races in the near future.

Somebody has to be FIRST to bring this type of event to this area WHY NOT US???”

 

In addition to the Truck racing Big Don says RMP will also feature world-class ATV events. Which will be included on the TV show as well.

 

Big Don is also quick to point out that the Newly formed USOMRA may NOT be for everyone, this will be and association of world class racers and will be ran with SAFETY as the primary focus.

 

“I come from an OUTLAW racers frame of mind, meaning that  the word OUTLAW means just THAT. - OUTLAW -.  Not to say that there will be NO rules but that the majority of them will be focused on SAFETY,

I want to produce an event that showcases these racers and race teams and brings to light the fact that these “MUD TRUCKS” are professionally built and maintained racecars. Many of these guys could have some really nice Drag cars for less money than they have in these trucks.”

 

We will be announcing the details of the USOMRA and the rules in the next few weeks, right now we are working out details of getting all interested racers together to discuss classes and rules,

 

“It does no good for us to create an association and a bunch of rules without the racers themselves being involved. Our goal is to create an association that will allow the racers that want to take the next step the opportunity to do so..

The USOMRA will have a POINTS series and will crown a CHAMPION in each class at the end of the season. In addition to being the primary focus of our new TV show.”
